We've already seen eye-tracking systems being used to control things like laptops
, but ... cars? Well, the Visteon Corporation
isn't suggesting that we use our eyes to steer
our cars. At least, not yet. Its HMeye cockpit concept, however, is designed to show how such technology could be used to help drivers keep their attention on the road.
Visteon Corporation is known as a global supplier of automotive supplies, not as an exotic car designer. Climate controls, interior amenities, mobile applications
and electronics are all part of its daily fare. So why would a supplier go out of its way to create something as stunning as the relatively unknown Visteon Glide Concept?
Automobile systems manufacturer Visteon has unveiled its Nissan Leaf-based e-Bee concept car, designed to showcase some of the company’s visions for mobility technology in the year 2020. Car-sharing will apparently be much more prevalent by then, as many of the car’s features are centered around allowing multiple users to adapt it to their liking.
