MSI rolls out G-series laptops with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M on board

This June, NVIDIA introduced its new GPUs for portable gaming laptops, the GeForce GTX 580M and GTX 570M. MSI debuts the world's first PCI Express 3.0 motherboard

Taiwanese manufacturer MSI has announced a new motherboard Z68A-GD80 (G3), which according to the company will be the world's first motherboard to utilize the PCI Express Gen 3 (3.0) bus standard. Featuring a BIOS with a graphical user interface, the motherboard boasts two PCIe 3.0 slots (1x16, 1x8), which provide a 2x faster transfer rate than the 2.0 standard with a maximum bandwidth of 32GB/s, and support for 3TB drives. It is also equipped with an Intel Z68 (B3) chipset and supports the LGA1155 socket to work with Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs. Read More

MSI has added another fanless mini-mainboard to its industrial platform computing range. The 3.5-inch, ultra-low power MSI I3-945GSE-D board features an Atom processor, slots for DDR2 memory, USB ports, a SATA II connector, a VGA graphics port and expansion capabilities via mini-PCIe. Read More

MSI introduces low noise, low heat N480GTX Twin Frozr II graphics card

In spite of sporting a couple of cooling fans whirring away, MSI claims that its new N480GTX Twin Frozr II graphics card offers quiet performance as well as low operating temperatures. The card features thicker heat pipes, military-grade components and support for the latest NVIDIA video technologies. Based on the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture, it also benefits from 1536MB of high-speed onboard graphics memory, a couple of DVI ports and an HDMI port. Read More

MSI has launched its latest performance gaming laptop, the MSI GX660. This laptop is designed with high performance and ease of use in mind. It features MSI’s TDE (Turbo Drive Engine) technology and Dynaudio sound. It also comes with dual 500GB SATA hard drives, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 discrete graphics card and has three DDR3 RAM slots which allows up to 12GB of RAM. MSI has announced the launch of a Windows-based software tool that puts an end to all that bothersome fiddling around in the BIOS to enable inactive processor cores. MSI launches GE700 gaming laptop with cinematic entertainment

MSI has announced U.S. availability of its Wind U160 ten-inch netbook which is less than an inch thick and is claimed to squeeze some 15 hours from its 6-cell battery. The netbook also offers smooth action video rendering thanks to an 8ms response time, 802.11n WiFi and is only MSI's second product to feature Intel's energy efficient Pine Trail Atom N450 processor.
