New Mango phones get BIG launch in Big Apple

Microsoft built a six-story Windows Phone in New York's Herald Square to launch a batch of new HTC and Samsung phones running on the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system. The Big Windows Phone structure featured two stage areas in between the huge screens - one to demonstrate the Music+ Video Hub with a live performance from electro hip hop group Far East Movement and the other to represent the Xbox LIVE gaming experience with a game of Plants vs Zombies using real people as the characters. As for the phones themselves - HTC's Radar 4G is available now on T-Mobile, while HTC's TITAN and Samsung's Focus S and Focus Flash head for AT&T. Read More
HTC Rezound announced - 4.3-inch 720p display, LTE and Beats Audio onboard

HTC and Verizon Wireless have announced a new Beats Audio-integrated Android 2.3.4-based smartphone, the HTC Rezound. The new Verizon-exclusive droid supports the LTE network and will be HTC's first Beats Audio-improved offering in the U.S. market. It's also the company's first smartphone to incorporate a 1280 x 720 (720p) resolution screen. Read More
“Massive security vulnerability” in HTC Android smartphones exposed

In news that will no doubt be of great concern to owners of HTC smartphones, a security team is claiming to have uncovered a “massive security vulnerability” in HTC Android devices that allows any application with Internet access to gain access to private data, including user accounts, email addresses, GPS location, text message data and phone numbers. The vulnerability is said to affect HTC smartphones running the latest version of HTC’s software, including the EVO 3D, EVO 4G, Thunderbolt, and others. Read More
HTC Amaze 4G to land on T-Mobile, with 4.3-inch Super LCD and HSPA+ support

T-Mobile has announced that it will soon offer a highly spec'd smartphone with its 4G (HSPA+) network support in the U.S., in the form of the HTC Amaze 4G. Slated for an October 12th release, the Amaze features a 4.3-inch qHD (540x960) touchscreen, along with an 8-megapixel camera equipped with several features tailored for fans of smartphone photography. HTC Rhyme comes with feminine style and matching accessories lineup

HTC has unveiled its new Android 2.3-based smartphone, the HTC Rhyme. Although the unit is not gender specific in any particular way, available colors and accessories such as HTC Charm might suggest it is primarily aimed at the fairer sex. The smartphone comes with a 3.7-inch WVGA super LCD touchscreen and a refreshed HTC Sense 3.5 user interface. The Rhyme will be hitting Verizon Wireless in the U.S. on September 29. Read More
HTC Sensation XE comes with faster CPU and a Beats Audio upgrade

HTC TITAN - 4.7-inch smartphone screen is HTC's largest ever

HTC has unveiled HTC TITAN, billed as its largest screen smartphone featuring 4.7-inch WVGA 480x800 pixel display wrapped in a slim 9.9 mm (0.39 inch) aluminum shell. Running Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango), HTC TITAN boasts 8 megapixel camera, which comes with f/2.2 aperture lens, dual LED flash, BSI sensor and 720p video recording. Starting September 4th, AT&T customers will be able to purchase the new HTC Jetstream Tablet in stores and online. The device is AT&T's first 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet, plus it's the first HTC tablet to use the Android 3.1 (Honeycomb) operating system. Read More
Glasses-free HTC EVO 3D smartphone announced for Europe, available in U.S.

The range of gadgets capable of stereoscopic glasses-free 3D viewing is slowly increasing, with the LG Optimus 3D, Sharp Aquos SH-12C and Nintendo 3DS gaming console already on the market. HTC has now announced that its first glasses-free 3D smartphone, the HTC EVO 3D, will be available in Europe in July. Unveiled in March 2011 and introduced in the U.S. by Sprint on June 24, the EVO 3D features a stereoscopic 3D display, allowing users to view three-dimensional images without glasses, plus the phone is able to capture pictures in 3D.
