California-based Zero Motorcycles has unveiled its 2016 model lineup in preparation for the American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, Florida. Rimac leverages supercar know-how in Greyp G12S electric bike

In 2013, the company responsible for the 1,088 hp Rimac Concept One all-electric supercar rolled out an electric vehicle of the two-wheeled variety in the form of the Greyp G12. At Salon Privé 2015 earlier this month, Croatia-based Greyp Bikes premiered its successor, the Greyp G12S, which retains many of the innovative features of the G12, but boasts a more powerful battery pack, new suspension and revised geometry.

Victory Motorcycles has turned a new page by unveiling its first fully electric motorcycle. The 2016 Empulse TT is a road-legal electric streetbike based on Brammo's Empulse R. The company's entry into the electric market follows its successful participation at the 2015 Isle of Man TT Zero race, where its Empulse-powered racebike emerged as the fastest US electric motorcycle.

KTM and Piaggio receive EU funding to develop electric four-wheelers

The European Union is encouraging the development of modular electric vehicles that car drivers will find attractive for urban commuting under an initiative called Range of Electric Solution L-category Vehicles (Resolve). The public release of this project’s funding has seen KTM and Piaggio emerge as the prime movers in a project that aims to make efficient three- and four-wheel tilting narrow track vehicles a common sight on European roads by the end of the decade.
