Lorenzo walks home with a record second world title

After his closest rival and fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa crashed in lap two of the Australian round of the MotoGP 2012 at Phillip Island it was automatic that Jorge Lorenzo on his Yamaha Factory Racing M1 would become world champion for the second time – unless of course he DNF’d, too, which he managed to avoid. Ducati to sell 2010 and 2011 MotoGP race bikes at auction

In a sign of the times, Ducati has announced it will be selling two very recent Ducati Desmosedici GP machines at auction. The bikes, a GP11 2011 factory Desmosedici which brought Valentino Rossi his only top three finish of the 2011 season, and the other a 2010 model GP10 which Casey Stoner took to victory in the 2010 Australian Grand Prix, are subject to an undisclosed reserve. The buyer will be required to enter into a confidentiality agreement. Read More
