Held every August during Monterey Car Week, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance sees an array of distinguished automobiles gathered on the 18th fairway of the famous links. Nestled amongst the 260-odd vehicles shown this year was the “concept lawn” – a new world order showcase of over twenty concepts cars and new production models including world and North American debuts. Gizmag was there to capture the best of what the lawn had to offer.

From Cadillac’s considerable Elmiraj to Alfa Romeo’s sensually sculpted 8C Disco Volante to the extra-terrestrial styling of the Laraki Epitome, the line-up of concepts and new production models guaranteed a quality photo-feast for those on the lawn.

Check out the gallery for a detailed look at each concept from the 63rd Pebble Beach, plus one or two bonus offerings from another Monterey Car Week highlight, the Quail Motorsports Event.

the bertone mantide tops all of the concepts presented this year by looking weird and fascinating at the same time

mostly extreme designs with overwrought expressions of ugly over weight comic book like crap... over weight and excessive attempts at striking frontal designs... the alfa seems nice but the cadillac is just a fat tart... the laraki is just lame without reason... the porsche exhaust will make the rear become filthy and will be excessively loud being too near the cockpit... remember the side pipes of corvette and cobra were just visual aspects that made nasty carbon streaks down the sides and sounded like you were being passed by a harley davidson with open exhausts... the bugatti might be nice...

Of course, Aston-Martins are always beautiful, even tarted up.

The Alfa makes me smile, A LOT, and reminds me of cars I drew when a young boy.

The Cadillac really impressed me. Long, sleek, expensive. The interior may be a tad overdone. I believe it would sell very well.

The others...meh. But to each his own.

Why were so many cars so poorly photographed? The Beamer is a good example - I don't have a clue what it looks like... though I know what the rims (of it and every other car) look like.

The Caddy looks great , but it doesn't look like it has ceramic disks to me
