News of bleeding-edge product offerings continues to roll in ahead of next week's International CES in Las Vegas with Dell to launch its elegantly styled Crystal 22-inch widescreen flat panel monitor. Constructed using 4mm thin ultra-clear tempered glass, this exceptional piece of eye-candy features WSXGA+ 1680x1050 image resolution, in-built speakers and a 2.0 megapixel miniature web camera with microphone.

Previewed as a concept at last year's CES, the USD$1,199 Crystal flat-panel is supported by a polished metal tripod with capacitive touch controls, single-cable connectivity, discreet wiring and the smoothly integrated webcam adding to the its minimalist appeal.

Other notable specs include TrueColor Technology, 2ms typical response time (grey to grey), 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and HD connectivity with DVI / HDMI with HDCP, sub-woofer out and USB.

The Dell Crystal display will be exhibited during the Consumer Electronics Show in the Dell Lounge and second-lifers can get a look at the launch event via the Dell Crystal site.
