Cathay Pacific has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350 aircraft in Hong Kong and there are a number of features in the cabin that will make for a comfortable passenger flying experience. Among them are supportive headrests, space for mobile devices and internet access.

The cabin was designed by Tangerine, which mixed the Cathay Pacific brand with Hong Kong-inspired motifs. In addition, though, it included headrests on economy class seats that fold out and can be extended, similar to the one that was honored at this year's Crystal Cabin Awards. These provide support to the user's head when they are sleeping.

Use of mobile devices is also catered for. The seats have a stand for tablets and smartphones built into their backs. This allows passengers in the seats behind to view content hands-free on their own devices. There's space for storing personal items and a drinks holder too.

All seats have a high-definition touchscreen display, power outlets and USB ports. Elsewhere, internet access is provided for the first time on a Cathay Pacific aircraft, plus there are panoramic windows and LED mood lighting.

Cathay Pacific's first A350-900 will enter into service on June 1st.

I love the headrests. That said, I really look forward to my first flight on a 787, with it's larger windows and turbulence mitigation systems.

I've flown on Cathay before and always found their service impressive compared with the domestic airlines.

...but what about the legroom and the cramped feeling when the person in front reclines their seat in your face?

@yawood, not to mention the lack of shoulder-room.
