When you wait nine long months for your precious baby to arrive, why would you take any risks when it comes to their health? Since the 1990’s, debate about the risks involved with using polycarbonate plastic baby bottles has been raging. However, there are alternatives to polycarbonate baby bottles including the Adiri natural nurser ultimate baby bottle which is 100% polycarbonate-free and bisphenol-a free.

The focus of the debate has surrounded bisphenol-a, a chemical found in polycarbonate plastic which is released when heated. Studies have shown that, amongst other things it can cause developmental toxicity and carcinogenic effects. The levels of Bisphenol A within polycarbonate plastic are not considered to pose a risk to human health. However, as there are alternatives to polycarbonate baby bottles such as Evenflo glass bottles or the range from BornFree, concerned parents can have added peace-of-mind.

Another option is the Adiri natural nurser ultimate baby bottle which is 100% polycarbonate-free and bisphenol-a free. The bottle is protected from dirt and leakage by a cover and the patented nipple design is shaped like a breast to encourage babies to take the bottle. To help mimic breastfeeding, the nipple is made from high-quality silicone which is soft and feels warm on baby’s cheek when filled with warm milk.

The bottle has a twist-on cap with a petal vent system which allows a slow intake of air into the bottle which may help to prevent gas or colic and the fill, twist and feed system means bottles can be prepared quickly and easily. Bottles can be sterilized, washed in the dishwasher and come in three stages for different ages and flow rates.

So just like J-Lo, you can buy the Adiri natural nurser bottle for US$22.95. See Adiri for retailers.
