This is actually a very interesting concept, despite what some ding-dongs might say. Using hybrid tech is, I believe, the most intelligent way to proceed with the development of sustainable energy needs. The simple economical reality is that we cannot change our energy needs in the blink of an eye, and we desperately need interim measures which will allow our current industrial base to transition to an enviromentally friendly model. Jeez, let's take what little we can get, and proceed from here. We can take turns slaying the petroleum nightmares later, if we're still around to do so.
