Turning old houses into green homes

This is the most ridiculous waste of money I have seen.

How hard is it to make it a tax break to put new windows and insulation in your home? Or upgrade to new more efficient appliances? To educate contractors on these tax breaks so they sell the upgrades to the homeowners?

They built a replica house to put sensors in. What is wrong with putting the sensors in an existing old house? Are you teling me they found old wiring and appliances to put in this new "old house"?

The whole thing stinks of government inefficiency and state waste.....
