The Texthook has been created by a stay-at-home mum who likes to keep in touch with the outside world. It’s a phone-holder that clips to your stroller’s handle bar and makes it easier for you to text or email while you're out and about (though the makers recommended you wait until the stroller is stationary before conversing electronically).

The Texthook also fits almost any device that has a handle bar, such as a bike, exercise equipment and even a shopping trolley.

The manufacturers of Texthook say you’ll never miss that important text or email again, or have to wait till you get home to send off your replies.

Although it has four parts: a base, top slider, mount and Velcro strap which keeps the Texthook firmly in place, it comes ready-assembled out of the box.

The Texthook fits most phones, Blackberry units and strollers and is available online for US$25.99. Additional Velcro straps can be purchased separately.

My God! I used to drive this tiny little winding road, and I\'d always come across mums in the middle of the street talking or texting on their phones. Not in the middle of one lane, mind you, but in the actual middle of the road. Can\'t count the number of times I almost hit an irresponsible mother bustling her child to its near death at night in the MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. So please, if you buy this thing, stay to the curb, or use the sidewalk. Just don\'t put your baby in danger so that you can have a conversation on your phone.
