Altanus, a Geneva-based watchmaker better known for its luxury timepieces made from materials such as steel and gold has turned to a slightly less traditional material for its PATCH watch – paper. Described by the company as having zero environmental impact, the PATCH was inspired by the papier- mâché floats of Italy’s Viareggio Carnival and is made from biodegradable paper in a range of eye-catching colors and designs.  Read More

It's only been a few weeks since Ricoh unveiled its G700 rugged camera and already the next phase in its evolution has been revealed. The new G700SE retains much of the feature set of the earlier model – including the 12.1 megapixel sensor, wide-angle zoom lens and 720p high definition movie capability – but adds Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality to the mix. It's also water and dust resistant and able to withstand the odd rough bump. Sanyo has confirmed it will be expanding its range of gun-shaped Dual Camera Xacti devices this month with the launch of the DMX-CA100 - a full HD Dual camera suitable for underwater use. Able to withstand up to 3 meters of water, the Sanyo DMC-CA100 will have the capacity to record up to 60 minutes of full HD video MPEG-4 files (1920 x 1080 pixels). This device will also be able to capture 14-megapixel still images. Available in black, yellow or pink, sales for the Sony Xacti DMX-CA100 will start at the end of June 2010.
