Toshiba's Folio 100 media tablet at IFA 2010

Toshiba Europe has chosen the IFA consumer electronics show to unveil its 10.1-inch Android media tablet powered by NVIDIA's Tegra II processor. The Folio 100 features an onboard camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (with a 3G model in the pipeline) and a HDMI port for viewing content on a big screen television. The company has also announced the development of an one-stop portal to access and share online content over numerous device formats. Toshiba unveils three new CELL REGZA 3D LED TVs

Toshiba has unveiled its new line of CELL REGZA 3D LED TVs. The new 3D TVs, CELL REGZA 55X2, CELL REGZA Slim 55XE2 and CELL REGZA 46XE2 all include "3D Super Resolution Technology" for upgrading the resolution of 3D content along with 2D-3D conversion. The 55X2 has dynamic contrast ratio of 9,000,000:1 while the other two models have 4,000,000:1. All feature 240 Hz refresh rate, support DNLA, are web enabled and feature a 3 TB hard drive with 2 TB dedicated to CELL REGZA’s Time Shift Machine, which allows you to record up to eight channels simultaneously.  Read More

Toshiba's dual touch-screen Libretto W100

Toshiba has gone with the adage that two screens are better than one with its new libretto W100 ultra mobile PC (UMPC). Featuring dual 7-inch diagonal dual-touch LCD screens, the clamshell form factor W100 opens up to provide the equivalent of a 10-inch wide screen display that allows the desktop to be extended over both screens, different applications to be displayed on either screen, or one screen to be used for the virtual keyboard. The device can also be used as a netbook in the horizontal orientation, or flipped on its side for reading ebooks.  Read More

Sanyo has confirmed it will be expanding its range of gun-shaped Dual Camera Xacti devices this month with the launch of the DMX-CA100 - a full HD Dual camera suitable for underwater use. Able to withstand up to 3 meters of water, the Sanyo DMC-CA100 will have the capacity to record up to 60 minutes of full HD video MPEG-4 files (1920 x 1080 pixels). This device will also be able to capture 14-megapixel still images. Available in black, yellow or pink, sales for the Sony Xacti DMX-CA100 will start at the end of June 2010.
