Three Wheel

The Torq Roadster will be unveiled to the public on April 6

Epic Electric Vehicles is set to unveil its three-wheeled electric Torq Roadster at a public event on April 6. With the new roadster, Epic founder Chris Anthony has shifted emphasis from range to raw performance and fun (Anthony was also a co-founder of the ill-fated long-range Aptera EV). Clearly, Anthony has his eyes on a very different market this time around – Batman, possibly, if the vehicle's appearance is any gauge.  Read More

Campagna Motors' new T-REX 16S is powered by a BMW 1649 cc in-line 6-cylinder engine

Campagna Motors’ family of side-by-side reverse trikes has a new addition. Joining the street legal T-REX 14 R, T-REX 14RR and V13R is the T-REX-16S. While the existing T-REX models are powered by a Kawasaki 1400 cc inline cylinder engine and the V13R gets its grunt from a Harley Davidson Liquid-cooled Revolution 60-degree V-Twin engine (the same used in the Harley Davidson V-Rod), the new 16S is powered by a BMW 1649 cc in-line 6-cylinder engine from BMW’s Motorrad division.  Read More

After years in development, Sway Motorsports has unveiled a prototype of its tilting three-wheel electric scooter, one with a rather sportier bent than the tilting electric three-wheelers we've seen before, such as Sidam's Xnovo. And though this is a relatively low-powered machine, judging from the videos this thing isn't without agility and zip. Clearly the Sway is pitched squarely at the leisure market.  Read More

With the PAL-V last appearing on our pages way back in 2004, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is just another flying car concept that never made it off the ground. Now the flying-driving prototype has been put through its paces with video of the PAL-V’s recent successful maiden flight now released.  Read More

The Veliac Three has hauling capacity and more natural handling

Typically the terms "tight handling" and "electric three-wheeler" are mutually exclusive, particularly when you are talking about the "two-at-the-back, one-at the-front" designs. Joining Adiva and a number of other manufacturers we've looked at in recent times, London-based electric bike manufacturer 50Cycles is looking to marry the two by introducing tilting functionality into the equation. The company's Veliac Three electric tricycle uses a new lean mechanism designed to ease maneuvering around corners and curves.  Read More
