Ricoh has announced a successor to its popular CX3 compact superzoom which sports a new body design, tracking auto-focus and improved image stabilization. Described by the company as "workmanlike yet stylish", the 10 megapixel CX4 retains its predecessor's high resolution LCD display, wide-angle optical zoom lens and 720p video capability but now benefits from improved noise reduction and a special night landscape mode. Ricoh has now announced the availability of a new lens kit for the modular GXR digital camera system. The 10 megapixel S10 wide-angle zoom lens unit features a high-sensitivity image sensor, technology to help prevent blurred images and the ability to fill the frame with an up close and personal subject from less than half an inch away. As promised earlier this year, Ricoh has now unveiled the development and release of its third lens module for its GXR digital camera system. The P10 28-300 mm F3.5-5.6 VC wide angle 10.7x zoom lens module has been optimized for high quality output and benefits from revised image processing algorithms. It can continuously shoot at up to five frames per second in RAW format but up to 120 in VGA and can record movies in 720p high definition. Read More
Ricoh has announced two new lens units for its unique modular GXR digital camera platform. The P10 28-300mm wide zoom and A12 28mm fast prime lens units each include the sensor and image processor built into the module.
