There’s a 4X optical zoom (equivalent to 27.5mm-110mm), a 2.7 inch high-resolution, wide-angle view LCD panel, and new Pixel Track Shake Reduction technology to assure sharp images with low noise even in poor lighting.  Read More

Super-Secret Spy Lens for your SLR

Designed for capturing raw, natural images without the subject being aware that they are being photographed (and ruining that elusive photo-realism), or lets face it, for just plain snooping around, the Super-Secret Spy Lens allows you to take shots at right angles to the camera lens. Working like a periscope for your SLR, the lens adaptor also rotates through 360 degrees so you can snap subjects above and below you as well as to the left or right, all while you appear to be shooting directly in front.  Read More

The 'Digital Shake Reduction' reaches new levels too, and compensates not just for the snappers shaking hands, but moving subjects too, and if your hands are shaking when you play back the images it will compensate for those movements too.  Read More

Pentax Compact A10 with 8 MPX, shake reduction and x3 zoom

January 13, 2006 The price-performance ratio of compact cameras continues to skyrocket as it seeks to maintain the performance gap to that of the fast-approaching camera phone, and the bar was raised higher at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show last week when Pentax announced the Optio A10 and E10 compact digital cameras. Though the E10 offers a six effective megapixel CCD and a 3X optical zoom lens, it was the new flagship compact A10 which really impressed. The A10 will be the first model of a new high-end Optio series and will ship next month for under US$350 with eight megapixels, shake reduction and a new x3 zoom lens.  Read More
