CompuLab introduces its smallest, most energy efficient mini-PC to date

Israel's CompuLab, makers of the fit-PC range of energy efficient mini-PCs, has announced a new miniature computer powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processing platform. The Trim-Slice computer is said to offer the rich multimedia capabilities and user experience of a full-size PC at only a fraction of the power draw. It benefits from a fanless design, Wireless-N connectivity, solid state memory and expansion via both a full size and a micro SD card slots. Read More
Toshiba previews next gen Android tablet

Toshiba has been showing off a preview model of its as-yet-unnamed next generation Android Tablet computer at this year's CES and we strolled over for a closer look. The Tegra 2-powered, high resolution, multi-touch device features both a front and rear cameras, technology which gives standard def video a color, contrast and sharpness boost, and Wireless-N connectivity. There's also user access to the onboard Li-ion battery for any necessary swapouts and changeable outer covers for some welcome personalization. Read More
MSI introduces low noise, low heat N480GTX Twin Frozr II graphics card

In spite of sporting a couple of cooling fans whirring away, MSI claims that its new N480GTX Twin Frozr II graphics card offers quiet performance as well as low operating temperatures. The card features thicker heat pipes, military-grade components and support for the latest NVIDIA video technologies. Based on the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture, it also benefits from 1536MB of high-speed onboard graphics memory, a couple of DVI ports and an HDMI port. Read More

There’s no doubt the format war between HD-DVD and Blu-ray scared a lot of consumers away from upgrading from DVD to a higher definition format. LG Optimus Series smartphones first to be powered by dual-core Tegra 2 processor

Toshiba unveils Folio 100 media tablet at IFA

Toshiba Europe has chosen the IFA consumer electronics show to unveil its 10.1-inch Android media tablet powered by NVIDIA's Tegra II processor. The Folio 100 features an onboard camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (with a 3G model in the pipeline) and a HDMI port for viewing content on a big screen television. NVIDIA has revealed its new range of Fermi-based Quadro GPUs that the company says deliver performance that is up to five times faster for 3D applications and up to eight times faster for computational simulation. The Quadro Plex 7000 Array is a complete system solution whereas the Quadro 6000, Quadro 5000 and Quadro 4000 are aimed at desktops and workstations. They are all compatible with NVIDIA’s new 3D Vision Pro active-shutter glasses solution, incorporate the new NVIDIA Scalable Geometry Engine and take advantage of NVIDIA Application Acceleration Engines (AXE). Pioneer's 11.6 inch Atom DreamBook ePad tablet

Pioneer Computers has announced the forthcoming availability of a Windows 7 tablet computer with an 11.6 inch capacitive touchscreen, up to 64GB of storage and ION-based graphics.
