Toshiba has been showing off a preview model of its as-yet-unnamed next generation Android Tablet computer at this year's CES and we strolled over for a closer look. The Tegra 2-powered, high resolution, multi-touch device features both a front and rear cameras, technology which gives standard def video a color, contrast and sharpness boost, and Wireless-N connectivity. In spite of sporting a couple of cooling fans whirring away, MSI claims that its new N480GTX Twin Frozr II graphics card offers quiet performance as well as low operating temperatures. The card features thicker heat pipes, military-grade components and support for the latest NVIDIA video technologies. Toshiba Europe has chosen the IFA consumer electronics show to unveil its 10.1-inch Android media tablet powered by NVIDIA's Tegra II processor. The Folio 100 features an onboard camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (with a 3G model in the pipeline) and a HDMI port for viewing content on a big screen television. NVIDIA has revealed its new range of Fermi-based Quadro GPUs that the company says deliver performance that is up to five times faster for 3D applications and up to eight times faster for computational simulation. The Quadro Plex 7000 Array is a complete system solution whereas the Quadro 6000, Quadro 5000 and Quadro 4000 are aimed at desktops and workstations. They are all compatible with NVIDIA’s new 3D Vision Pro active-shutter glasses solution, incorporate the new NVIDIA Scalable Geometry Engine and take advantage of NVIDIA Application Acceleration Engines (AXE). Pioneer Computers has announced the forthcoming availability of a Windows 7 tablet computer with an 11.6 inch capacitive touchscreen, up to 64GB of storage and ION-based graphics.
