The EX 366 is the latest expedition vehicle in Bimobil's line

The Sprinter isn't necessarily the Mercedes-Benz platform that immediately comes to mind when we think rugged, AWD expedition vehicle. In fact, Mercedes has said that the Sprinter is the number one base vehicle for luxury camper vans, not exactly a description that makes one think of muddy tracks and rocky hill climbs. That said, German camper manufacturer Bimobil has managed to create a convincingly tough expedition vehicle by planting its own living module on top of an AWD Sprinter chassis. This is one Sprinter that can travel and camp virtually anywhere in the world.  Read More

The all-new Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show

With a 577-hp biturbo V8 powering a 0-60 mph time of just 3.9 seconds, the Mercedes S63 AMG 4Matic Coupe isn't exactly a slouch. Or at least it didn't seem that way before German tuner Brabus turned it into an out-and-out power-n-speed machine. The S63-based Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe bolts to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and doesn't stop accelerating until the needle hits 217 mph.  Read More

There might be something in the water over at Mercedes right now. From the ultra luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the insane 6x6 G-Class AMG, Stuttgart’s engineers and product planners seem to be full of interesting ideas at the moment. Those same engineers seem to have done it again with the new G500 4x4 Squared, (or G500 4x42) a near-production G-Wagen show car fitted with a portal axle system that gives it greater off road capability.  Read More

The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman with the Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman

The Maybach brand may not have survived on its own, but now that it's "Mercedes-Maybach," Daimler sure seems eager to grow the lineup. Following the launch of the very first Mercedes-Maybach at last November's LA Auto Show, the German luxury marque is getting a new halo. Set to launch in early 2016, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is a stretched ultra-luxury motor car with face-to-face rear seating.  Read More

The new Mercedes Vito 4x4 is now available

After announcing that the new Vito van would come in front-, rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations a few months ago, Mercedes is using a cold spell in Europe to get the Vito 4x4, the last of the new Vito models, rolling to market. The German automaker imagines the extra grip of the van's 4x4 system being useful to professionals visiting cold, icy worksites and otherwise commuting in slick conditions. The van should also prove popular with Mercedes camper van conversion specialists looking to create all-terrain campers.  Read More

A successful career in karting is now part of a driver's preparation for Formula One. All current drivers and 29 of the last 30 F1 champions began by racing karts. Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton had karts at four years of age, while Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel both started at three. If karting is now such an important part of a driver's career, how much is the kart that Ayrton Senna raced to fourth place in the 1981 world karting championship worth as memorabilia?  Read More
