A hydrogen fuel cell car built by students from TU Delft university is claimed to have become the fastest of its kind to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The Forze VI car was unveiled in 2013 by the Forze student racing team. It is said to have lapped the circuit in under 11 minutes on May 7.

The hydrogen economy

As Hyundai delivers its first Tucson Fuel Cell CUV to its new lessee, Timothy Bush, the South Korean carmaker unveiled its plan to jump-start the hydrogen car economy by giving the fuel away to its customers.
Amongst the incremental improvements seen at CES, Toyota has announced its notable and progressive intention to begin selling hydrogen powered cars starting next year. Roll-out will begin in California initially and will continue around the world, it has confirmed.
