Canon introduces new PowerShot G12 and PowerShot SX30 IS
Canon has given a couple of its PowerShot digital compacts a feature upgrade. Its 10 megapixel G12 receives 720p high definition video capability with stereo sound, high dynamic range and multiple aspect ratios and a front control dial. The 14.1 megapixel SX30 IS point-and-shoot gets a 35x wide-angle optical zoom lens with optical image stabilization, a bigger vari-angle LCD display and zoom framing assist. Read More
Pentax went color crazy when it released the K-x digital SLR. The company now offers 12 different colors ranging from olive green to pink to orange. Things seems to have calmed down a little for its latest release, with the K-r only coming in three colors. The new addition features a 12.4 megapixel sensor, huge sensitivity range and six frames per second continuous shooting. Sony unveils next generation touchscreen Bloggie pocket video camera
Not so long ago, Sony took its original Bloggie pocket video camera and placed a 270 degrees swivel lens at the top that was said to cater for those spontaneous moments. Now the next generation of Bloggie has been revealed and the swivel lens has gone. In its place is a fixed F2.8 wide angle, auto-focus lens with 4x digital zoom. The new MHS-TS20 and MHS-TS10 Bloggie Touch pocket camcorders have a 3-inch touchscreen display, can shoot up to full 1080p high definition video and are capable of snapping 12.8 megapixel still images. ARCHOS announces five new Android tablet computers
Apple has pretty much defined what many of us now consider to be a tablet computer. When the term is used, we automatically think of a 9.56 x 7.47-inch (242.8 x 189.7mm) iPad. Now, French consumer electronics company Archos is about to have us question that perception with the announcement of five new internet tablets with screen sizes ranging from 2.8-inches (71mm) diagonally across to 10.1-inches (257mm). The new devices will all run on Android 2.2 (Froyo) with support for Adobe's Flash 10.1 player, be powered by either 800MHz or 1GHz processors and sport built-in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Read More
Kodak has unveiled a pocket-friendly digital video camera and a 14MP point-and-shoot, both with a special button for tagging movies and snaps for upload to social networking sites or to send via email. The PLAYTOUCH video camera can record up to 1080p high definition video, includes face-tracking technology and a handy HDMI-out port. The svelte EASYSHARE M590 digital camera can also shoot high definition movies, although at the lower resolution of 720p, and benefits from optical image stabilization and a high sensitivity range. A threesome of Powershot cameras unveiled by Canon

As the rumor mill hit fever pitch, Nikon chose to announce the successor to its popular D3000 entry-level digital SLR. The new D3100 is Nikon's first digital SLR to record full 1080p high definition video and also features full time autofocus. Its sensor has been increased to 14.2 megapixels, the sensitivity range given a huge boost and users can now frame shots via the LCD display as well as the viewfinder. Read More

It's been just over a year since Fujifilm went three dimensional with the release of its FinePix Real 3D camera, the W1. Now the company has announced its second 3D compact camera, the Finepix REAL 3D W3. Although it inherits some of the feature set from its predecessor, the W3 gets a larger LCD display and now records video in high definition, albeit at 720p. Toshiba has unveiled its new line of CELL REGZA 3D LED TVs. The new 3D TVs, CELL REGZA 55X2, CELL REGZA Slim 55XE2 and CELL REGZA 46XE2 all include "3D Super Resolution Technology" for upgrading the resolution of 3D content along with 2D-3D conversion. The 55X2 has dynamic contrast ratio of 9,000,000:1 while the other two models have 4,000,000:1. All feature 240 Hz refresh rate, support DNLA, are web enabled and feature a 3 TB hard drive with 2 TB dedicated to CELL REGZA’s Time Shift Machine, which allows you to record up to eight channels simultaneously.
