Magna Steyr 3-in-1 pickup truck, convertible and SUV concept car

By - February 28, 2012
Major automakers come up with pretty cool concepts on their own, but for really "wow-worthy" designs, sometimes you need to pay attention to what the other firms are doing. Take the MILA Coupic concept from Austrian engineering firm Magna Steyr. This innovative concept gives you the hauling capacity of a pickup truck, the family moving comfort of an SUV and the stylish driving enjoyment of a convertible - all from the same driver's seat. Aston Martin to present final production spec V12 Zagato at Geneva Motor Show

By - February 26, 2012 22 Pictures
Italian coachbuilders Zagato and archetypal Brit sports car company Aston Martin have had a relationship since 1960 when the Milanese artisans created a lightweight racing body for the DB4, by hand naturally. The 19 units made at that time all still exist and are valued at around US$6 million minimum apiece. While AM continues developing the replacement for its aging VH platform it still needs to make a buck and guaranteed collectors items seem to be immune to global financial instabilities. Rinspeed Dock+Go provides bolt-on solutions for small electric cars

By - February 20, 2012 23 Pictures
If you live in a traffic-nightmare city like New York or London or Bangkok, an ultra-compact urban electric car is great. They're so tiny that they fit in the smallest parking space, they're quiet, they're often exempt from congestion charges and they're tailpipe emission free, which is important if you live where the air is so dirty that it's visible. Unfortunately, they also have all the boot space of a glove box and the travel radius of a tortoise in a hurry. Unless you have the ideal lifestyle that allows you to work within the vehicle's limitations, there will come the time when you'll need to carry more than a messenger bag or drive farther than a single battery charge. When that happens, you'll probably wish you had some way to magically add an extra boot or a bigger battery. Rinspeed's Dock+Go concept car looks forward to a day when that may be possible. Read More
