The Ferrari California T is Ferrari's first turbo since the F40 hypercar

Ferrari hasn't fielded a turbo since it stopped building the F40 hypercar back in 1992. That changes in March when the car maker premières its mid-front-engine, retractable hard top berlinetta California T at the Geneva Motor Show. With the T standing for Turbo, the new California Grand Touring sports car has been redesigned to mark the occasion by the Ferrari Style Center and Pininfarina with aerodynamics to match the new powerplant.  Read More

When Ferrari's new 740 bhp, 6262cc, 65° V12, F12berlinetta hits showrooms later this year, it will be the fastest naturally aspirated car to see series production, taking over from the McLaren F1. The most successful automotive collector auction in history

RM Auctions’ inaugural Sporting Classics of Monaco event held on Saturday leaves little doubt that fine automobiles can be a rapidly appreciating investment. The average price achieved by the 88 cars which crossed the block was in excess of US$500,000 while the highest price fetched was EUR2,800,000 (US$3,799,600) for a 1962 Ferrari 400 Superamerica Cabriolet Pininfarina SWB (pictured top right). Some remarkable cars were sold on the day, including (pictured clockwise from bottom right) one of the world’s most significant pre-war sports racing cars, the 1937 BMW 328 MM ‘Buegelfalte’ (undisclosed but believed to be in excess of US$6 million), a handmade Rolls Royce which was the most expensive car made in the world in 1933 (US$1,975,792) and a Maserati Tipo 61 ‘Birdcage’ (US$3,343,648). Ferrari’s innovative new V8 – the 458 Italia

The 458 Italia is the latest incarnation of the mid-rear engined Ferrari berlinetta and will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. While it’s true that every Ferrari is innovative by definition, it’s equally true that in the course of the Prancing Horse’s history, certain cars have marked a genuine departure from the current range. Ferrari adds 430 Scuderia berlinetta to line-up

July 20, 2007 Ferrari will add a 2-seater Scuderia Berlinetta version of the 430 to its line-up at IAA (Frankfurt) Motor Show in September. The spartan new car has an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the F430 - and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm. Accordingly, the car should be one of the fastest accelerating supercars available. Reflecting Ferrari’s F1 heritage, the car bristles with F1 technology such as “F1 Superfast” software which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.  Read More
