A new "entry" version of the Mercedes Benz SL two-seat roadster that will go on sale in Europe in July will feature a twin turbocharged V6 engine that puts out 333 hp and propels the car from 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.2 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h). Called the SL 400 Sport, its new power plant meets tighter emissions standards than the previous 3.5-liter V6 in the discontinued SL350. Read More
Mercedes has released two images of the interior of its upcoming AMG GT. The high performance car is due for release towards the end of 2014. The company promises that the new GT will boast "the finest materials and outstanding workmanship," and describes the interior as having a modern luxury feel. Read More

The superwagon class gained an extra competitor overnight with the news that Jaguar will produce an R-S branded "estate car" with a 542 hp, 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. The Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake will cost GBP82,495 (USD$137,700) and will become a direct competitor for the 560 hp Audi RS 6 Avant, 556 hp Cadillac CTS-V, and the 550 hp Mercedes Benz AMG E63 S Wagon.
