Revo BLOK iPod speaker dock
Image Gallery (6 images)August 31, 2008 Revo Technologies has used Europe's biggest consumer electronics tradeshow to launch their first dedicated iPod speaker dock - the BLOC - and it's quite a refreshing little product. Uncomplicated, compact design, a high standard of manufacturing and materials including the use of hand-made furniture-grade wood for the cabinet and CNC machined aluminum for the switches, bezels and inlays, plus a unique remote control, all backed by 40 watts of hi-fi sound.
Audio performance is driven by NXT’s patented ‘Balanced-Radiator’ (BR) loudspeaker technology which combine the attributes of an NXT flat panel speaker with the pistonic movement of a conventional loudspeaker, which is designed to deliver a wider frequency range from a small footprint and provide enough oomph to flood a room with sound.
The remote control unit (dubbed KONTROL) is made from aluminum and soft-touch plastics and its unique ergonomic shape is designed to fit snuggly into the palm of your hand.
The timber used for the two styles on offer is either American walnut or black oak and BLOK is compatible with all current iPod models (a full range of dock adaptors is included).
The Revo BLOK costs £199.95 and will be available in the UK from the 22nd of September.
