Porsche has given the world a look at one of the cars it will be showing at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show in the form of the Panamera Exclusive Series – a limited-run long-wheelbase version of the 570 hp (425 kW) Panamera Turbo S. Exclusive Series cars pack a special paint scheme and more luxurious interior than the standard Panamera, while retaining the Turbo S all-wheel drive system.

The Panamera Exclusive is based on Porsche’s Panamera Turbo S Executive, but sits on a set of 20-inch Sport Classic wheels, finished in metallic black to complement the car’s hand-painted, two-tone brown/black paint job. The limited-run Panamera is the first Porsche to receive the special two-tone paint treatment, with a metallic brown finish that starts on the car’s front flanks and tapers into metallic black towards the back of the car. The car can also be finished in standard colors.

As well as a bespoke exterior finish, the Panamera Exclusive gains a luxurious interior upgrade. All of the seats are finished in brown leather developed by Italian firm Poltrona Frau. To match the two-tone exterior finish, black nappa leather is used in the Panamera’s door trims, while walnut wood trim fades to piano black in keeping with the theme.

Rear seat passengers are well looked after in the Exclusive, thanks to an extended wheelbase for extra legroom. Porsche is also using the Panamera Exclusive to debut a new rear-seat entertainment package, which includes internet-enabled 10.1-inch touchscreens with a built-in DVD player mounted on the driver and passenger seatbacks.

Included in the Panamera Exclusive’s US$263,900 pricetag is a Poltrona Frau luggage set.

Only 100 Exclusive Panameras will be built, so if Porsche’s changes appeal you’d better be quick with the check book.

The Panamera is one of the ugliest car creations of all time. And this aint gonna help it none. Just do the right thing Poker and get rid of it altogether.

It strikes me as a squished mini-van.
