Cool looking sub. I don't quite get how the mentioned Coanda effect can increase power efficiency to such a degree. Not that I doubt it. I just don't get it. Yet. Makes me curious. If that's actual figures, it must be interesting to use it in other water craft as well, and I do that kind of stuff...
The production figures seem a bit strange though. A million units? Of course given that it works as well as predicted, it will open new markets, but still, how many subs are there now, worldwide...? And 10 000 a year means a production run of 100 years to reach the goal. Hardly a wise plan.
Most likely their thoughts aren't precisely relayed in the article. I look forward to hearing more in the future. But I'm no potential customer. It's may be cheaper than its competitors, but still is way too expensive to be privately owned, unless you're really rich. A number of commercial operators would find it worth its investment. But are there a million such companies?
