At first glance this looks like any other ordinary watch on the market, but on closer inspection you find a clever design that stores data via a MicroSD memory card hidden in the strap. The Card Reader Watch has a stainless steel bezel, back cover, and buckle along with a flat USB adapter so that you can connect it straight to a computer to get at your well traveled data.

The watch works with Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS 9.1 or above and costs US$15.99 at ThinkGeek (excluding microSD card).

Could be one to stuff in the stocking for the geek who has everything.

Really Bill? What type of computer do you have that reads microSD cards?

the crap thing is although it\'s USB powered, it still need a standard button cell. Why can\'t they wire the USB power line to a rechargeable battery that powers the watch? It\'s a real crap, don\'t you guy think like me?

Matt, just slip a MicroSD into any of the little multi-SD Readers with a USB in - easy.
I think a watch that also functioned as a display maybe with a tiny Linux OS would be much more intriguing, although one would expect to pay more than this watch's US$15.99.

Hmm it\'d beat carrying an adapter around in my wallet but I already have a watch.

Why not just a small \"wallet\" or clip-on plastic box that clips on to your watch\'s band. You can store your micro SD, or depending on the size of your watch, perhaps even a whole SD card in this \"wallet\"/ plastic box
