Logitech launches tablet mouse for Android 3.1

That mouse looks exactly like my V470.

Tablet (screen) mouse keyboard (all for around 800$). Doesn't it begin to look like... a laptop? Next step a Bluetooth DVD drive?

Tablets now have a mouse and a keyboard. Seems the 'finger' functionality just isn't upto the task anymore, or just a cute fad?

Buy a netbook if you want all that!

and yet logitech refuses to continue making the wired trackman. damn it.

And how is this useful again?

I have a Logitech wireless trackball (one of the approximately two designs offered by Logitech, and one of about four in existence). The thing has a realistic range of about 7 feet on a good battery, isn't Bluetooth, requires a different adapter than my Logitech wireless keyboard... you get the idea.

Here's a real piece of innovation that will sell: create a new trackball, or something else that actually works for remote users (people sitting more than 3 feet from their screen). Nintendo, and the popularity of the Kenect have made it pretty clear that the status quo doesn't work for a lot of people and that Logitech should be bringing new innovation to old devices, not old innovation to new devices.

What a load of nonsense. Android 3.1 supports USB input devices. That means all your PC mice will work here just fine. I guess LT has a bunch of Bluetooth mice in stock they need to get rid of.
