January 20, 2006 Okay, we’re obsessed with portable storage – but it does get more affordable and exciting every day. I/OMagic is set to ship a new GigaBank 8GB for just US$200. The GigaBank 8.0 is the same size as its existing 2.2 GB and 4 GB units (2"x0.5"x2.5"), lightweight (less than two ounces) and is powered through a USB 2.0 port (USB 1.1 compatible). When not in use, the USB connector can be tucked into the enclosure.
