May 22, 2007 This is significant. General Motors made history last week when its Chevy Sequel became the first electrically-driven fuel cell vehicle to achieve 300 miles on one tank of hydrogen. GM’s claim that the Sequel is the world’s most technologically advanced automobile seems a little presumptious given it’s just one measurement of one aspect of an automobile, but it is nonetheless a significant achievement because it was achieved in traffic on public roads. So it can be done! Now it’s just a matter of how quickly the technology can be made affordable.
