Extreme-Range Wireless Networking Products

2006--EnGenius has announced what it terms the first "Extreme-Range" wireless networking products for service carriers, businesses, and consumers. With core technology in the high-power microwave (RF) signal, EnGenius specialides in high-output-power, long-range wireless networking products and claims its new "Extreme-Range" products provide up to 10 times the coverage of current wireless data equipment with some customers experiencing a wireless range over one kilometre.

The EnGenius high-power wireless access point/bridge, model EL-2611CB3+ Deluxe or EL-3054CB3+ Deluxe, comes equipped with a high-power 23dBm/200mW radio, a 10/100Mbps Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) LAN port, a removable antenna, output power controllable, DHCP support, MAC address filtering, hide SSID broadcasts, Layer2 isolation, and the ability to do Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) wireless bridging connectivity.

The EnGenius high-power wireless access point/bridge, model EL-2611CB5+ or EL-2611CB5+ EXT, comes equipped with a high-power 23dBm/200mW radio, outdoor IP67 weatherproof enclosure, a 10/100Mbps Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) LAN port, integrated or external antenna, output power controllable, DHCP support, MAC address filtering, hide SSID broadcasts, Layer2 isolation, and the ability to do Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) wireless bridging connectivity.

They come equipped with a high-power 23dBm/200mW radio, WPA2/WPA/AES/TKIP/WEP network security support, multimedia enhancements, Quality of Service (QoS) support, and 802.1x/RADIUS client support. They also have the latest technology from Atheros and eXtended Range (XR) to provide 2x the signal range.
