Rare racing cars in Goodwood sales

The ex-W.B. 'Bummer' Scott Team Car specification 1929 Bentley 4-litre Le Mans Sports Four Seater sold for GBP397,500.

Starting from the second row, this car won the 1929 Monaco Grand Prix - a 100-lap, 318km race - in 3hrs and 56 minutes of hard racing. it was later purchased around 1950 in a bankruptcy sale for 120 francs

The chassis was fitted with the Count Czaykowski Type 54 which in 1933 had raised the World Hour Record to 132.87mph at AVUS, Berlin

Paul Bablot's 'La Coupe des Voitures Légères' winning 1911 Delage 3-litre Type X Two Seat Racer sold for GBP331,500.
