Minolta's DiMAGE X digital camera captures an impressive 2 million pixel image given its pocket size and incorporates a 3x optical zoom delivering performance equivalent to a 37 - 111mm zoom on a 35mm camera. The lens is specially designed to fold the optical path and never protrude beyond the 84.5x 72 x 19.9 mm body. Up to 35 seconds of digital video at a rate of 15 fps can be recorded with audio and voice memo's can also be recorded to accompany still shots. The standard 8 MB SD Memory Card can hold up to 117 images in economy mode and also incorporates a flash effective to around 3 metres. The DimageX costs AUS$899.
