French speaker manufacturer Cabasse has unveiled the latest in their ever impressive family, the Eole 2 5.1 Speaker System. Taking its cue from the original Eole system, this second generation installment features five of the renowned spherical satellite speakers, as well as the compact Santorin subwoofer.

Each satellite speaker has a 29mm soft dome tweeter and a 10cm mid range woofer, with the ability to crank out sound that belies their size. In a bid to continue the Cabasse tradition of style with your sound, each chic looking satellite has a magnetic fixing base which enables them to be mounted to the included metal floor stands, the wall, or even the ceiling. They can also be swiveled in any direction, creating a myriad of positional possibilities, whether that be a “style statement” or a more discreet installation.

As with the original Eole system, the sleek Santorin subwoofer utilizes a tight 21cm drive unit and 250 watt amplifier, with an 8” woofer. This unit combined with the five identical satellites creates an aesthetically refined and powerful home theater system.

The Eole 2 system builds on the coaxial design utilized in previous Cabasse releases, which aims to achieve a coherent sound wave at all frequencies – put simply this means all the harmonies and frequencies in a presentation reaching your ears simultaneously – be it violin, voice, or violent action sequence.

Available in glossy black or white, the Eole 2 Speaker System retails for approx USD$1699.

Check out Cabasse for a closer look.
