As technology becomes more integrated into our lives, it's reaching a point where the only fodder left for electronic enhancement will be the clothes on our backs. For design group Machina, that notion represents a world of possibilities for how we interact with each other and even create art. The team of anonymous designers recently developed the MJ v01 MIDI Controller jacket, which conceals a variety of sensors that sync to iOS and Android devices to produce electronic music through the wearer's movements.  Read More

The Uuni is a lightweight, wood-burning pizza oven that's small enough to fit in a kitchen... For a top-notch pizza, the best places to go usually make theirs the old-fashioned way, in a wood-fire oven. Unfortuantely, unless you've got the budget and space to build a full-sized brick oven, you're not going to be able to make your own pizzas at home the same way. It's a gap the Uuni is looking to fill. The Uuni is a lightweight, wood-burning pizza oven that's small enough to fit in a kitchen and cooks a pizza in under three minutes.  Read More

With a few drinks under our belts, many of us can think every thought that crosses our mind is a work of genius, and one student at MIT certainly drew some alcohol-induced inspiration after a late night of revelry – though not exactly the way he would've liked. Following a party that ended with a trip to the hospital, Dhairya Dand created a set of "ice cubes" that track how much you drink and flash red to tell you when you've had too much.  Read More

LG's 100-inch Laser TV works like a regular projector but over a much shorter distance

LG has demonstrated a new Laser TV at CES which uses an Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector to display an image on a 100-inch screen at a distance of less than two feet. Despite the close distance and large size, the system delivers a full 1080p image with a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and LG hopes the set-up will eliminate some of the issues posed by typical home theater projectors that require a much larger space to function.  Read More
